Tips to Compete with Online Giants this Holiday

Be very clear on when, how and where customers can shop with you. Make the checkout process as painless as possible.

Create expereinces online that mirror how people would shop in person. Engage all five senses to give them the full picture.

Many people love the convenience of some of the online giants. What can you add for the holidays to compete? Curbside pickup? Free local delivery?

Choose a cause that you care about and offer to give a portion of proceeds to them when people shop during a predefined period of time.

We only have 3 seconds to make an impression on our devices. Use Google's Page Speed Insights to create the best user experience.

Make shopping for specific groups easy with pre-made packages. For example, you can have one for teachers, local delivery drivers, etc.

Join forces with businesses that "go with" your own to take advantage of cross promotion. For example, if you sell suites, team up with a dry cleaner.

We know that more shopping dollars go back into the community from small, local businesses than they do with big chains. Let people know how much you care.
